Sundown is our current project: a Norse mythology themed CD focusing on the death of Baldur. The ten planned songs fit together to form a narrative, beginning with the creation of the world and dramatizing the disastrous consequences of the falling-out between the Allfather Odin and his blood-brother Loki. The lyrics and stories draw directly on the Prose Edda and Poetic Edda, the two oldest primary sources of Norse mythology.

Note from the composer: I originally hoped we would finish and release Sundown in 2011, but because I have received a year-long research fellowship to study in Italy, it will not be possible to finish recording until 2012. Thanks for your patience, everyone. We'll work hard to make it worth the wait.
We want to release Sundown with an extensive lyrics book so people can enjoy the complex names and stories. We are thinking of designing some Sundown-themed merchandise to sell to help raise money to cover the production costs. Suggested ideas include a Norse Runes Drinking Stein, or something My Brother My Enemy-themed. If you have opinions or suggestions, please respond to our LJ poll.
